Diesel Generators for Agricultural Needs

Centralized energy supply is best organized in large cities, but agricultural development requires space. Main objects of the agro-industrial complex are usually located far from residential areas. If we are talking about a farm or stable, there are more opportunities, but historically, rural areas have not been able to claim top-tier utility services. A simple solution for uninterrupted power supply — a diesel generator.

Features of the Equipment

A diesel generator — a device for providing autonomous power supply. The unit consists of a tandem internal combustion engine and an electric generator. The construction is united by a common frame, defining the station's dimensions.

Diesel units can be:

  • stationary — sometimes these are huge complexes providing needs of an entire village. Powerful units are placed in a shipping container;

  • mobile — portable devices for personal household or individual departments of an agro-industrial company. Mobile stations use a frame or a special protective casing.

Diesel power stations are incredibly in demand. In winter, you can often see mobile units on runners or skis; also, blocks are transported on tractor platforms.

For fish farming and irrigation activities, floating stations are used.

Advantages of Using an Autonomous Diesel Power Station

The popularity of diesel power stations is based on their capabilities and numerous advantages, which are actively utilized in the agro-industrial complex.

Advantages of diesel generators:

  • versatility — the same units can be used in various sectors of the national economy and for personal needs;

  • significant service life — generators are designed for long-term operation. They are made from high-quality materials, use modern construction solutions, employ liquid cooling of the engine and other safety measures;

  • ability to operate at any temperature. Diesel generators are protected by a special casing, which ensures the unit remains in comfortable temperature conditions;

  • economy. Diesel fuel is about an order of magnitude cheaper than gasoline, and maintenance of the unit does not require constant human presence;

  • ease of installation and simple operation. Unlike gasoline models, diesel stations can be placed on uneven surfaces;

  • wide range of power and the ability to choose a unit with optimal dimensions for specific requirements.

Selection Tips

When purchasing a diesel generator, pay attention to operational characteristics. One of the main factors — power. You need to realistically assess your own needs and avoid paying for excess capacity.

When selecting a model for business, it is important to consider fuel consumption. Excessive fuel consumption affects the cost of the final product.

It is advisable to prefer products of reputable companies that provide warranty obligations.
