New Self-Propelled Sprayer Berthoud Bruin 4200

At the end of 2017, the largest French agricultural machinery manufacturer Berthoud introduced a new model of self-propelled sprayer, the Bruin 4200. The presentation took place at the international Agritechnica exhibition held in Hannover, Germany.

The new sprayer looks very promising for the Ukrainian market. It was specifically developed for North America and Eastern Europe, thus taking into account the specific requirements of local farmers.

Berthoud Bruin 4200 Innovations

The new sprayer can overcome obstacles: uneven terrain will not be a problem, it will work effectively on hilly areas with the same productivity as on perfectly flat fields. This was achieved thanks to independent suspension and an updated chassis. In addition, farmers can adapt the machine to the crops being grown: track width and ground clearance can be adjusted. Clearance can be adjusted in the range from 1.5 to 1.8 m. The hydraulic adjustable track allows setting the width from 3.05 to 4.06 m, so the machine will not leave unnecessary tracks in the field, damaging crops.

The sprayer's speed is 56 km/h, but this is when the tank is empty. With a full tank, it moves slower: 50 km/h. The manufacturer also changed the design of the chassis, making the sprayer more comfortable for the operator and easier to operate.

Traditional Berthoud Advantages

"The new model combines technical innovations: chassis, independent suspension with traditional advantages of our equipment," commented the press service of the French brand on the sprayer presentation.

Indeed, the equipment Berthoud in Ukraine has already gained popularity. One of the reasons for this popularity is those very traditional advantages mentioned by the company representatives. Among these are advanced electronics: they eliminate operator errors, allow setting all main spray parameters, thereby increasing the sprayer's productivity.

Strong points of French-made self-propelled sprayers also include the powerful Omega pump — the pump's power affects performance no less than the boom's width.

The new Bruin model is designed for farmers seeking a powerful, maneuverable, and reliable sprayer. Berthoud equipment rarely requires repairs, and even if repairs are needed, the main components are designed in such a way that they are easy to repair. Therefore, sprayers do not idle due to breakdowns.

Of course, the new model also features a spacious cabin with panoramic visibility. Windows and thoughtfully arranged boom provide the operator with maximum visibility, and a comfortable seat prevents fatigue during long hours in the field.

The new Berthoud model will soon appear on the Ukrainian market, especially since the company representative mentioned Ukraine as a priority market in one of the latest interviews.
