Grain Cleaning and Types of Machines for This Purpose
Grain cleaning requires the use of high-quality equipment. Why choose JK Machinery's products.

High-quality grain does not contain unnecessary impurities. Ведь the latter can harm human health. In addition, they can reduce the shelf life of grain and degrade its properties. Of course, there is a solution. Grain Cleaning is necessary to ensure that its further use is completely safe and appropriate. In this article, we will consider types of impurities, features of the grain cleaning process, as well as types of machines for its implementation. Special devices must be of high quality. This is very important to ensure that work with them is carried out correctly. Czech equipment from JK Machinery is a worthy example of combining reliability and quality.
Types of Impurities
All impurities can be divided into 3 groups. The first group includes weed-related impurities: dust, sand, stones, weed grass. They can have a very negative effect on the grain harvest, and more precisely, on its quality.
The second group includes impurities harmful to human health. By the way, they also adversely affect animal organisms. These are seeds and plants themselves. For example, they include: mustard, crabgrass, sporeweed.
The third group includes grain impurities. Although they do not adversely affect human health, they may harm the nutritional value of the grain and shorten its shelf life for consumption. These may be damaged grains, especially those affected by various pests, as well as sprouted and underdeveloped grains.
Grain Cleaning Process
Initially, this process takes place within the combine itself. However, this does not fully remove impurities. Then the product undergoes mandatory processing using machines specifically designed for such purposes.
The first task is preliminary processing. It is very important to carry it out promptly. Specifically, within the first day after harvest. Otherwise, the moisture level in the grain increases significantly, which may lead to germination. Its temperature begins to rise spontaneously. All this negatively affects the nutritional properties. Therefore, one should not delay. This way, one can remove relatively large impurities.
On the next stage, the most significant part of impurities is removed. It is very important to reduce the moisture level by approximately 20%. The allowable percentage of impurities will be 4.
Next, it is necessary to completely remove the remaining impurities to carry out high-quality grain cleaning. In addition, the grain is separated according to its value. In some cases, separating impurities is a very difficult task. Therefore, special devices are required to carry out an additional stage of grain cleaning.
Types of Separators
Separators are machines specifically designed to carry out the process. Not all of them are the same. There are simple machines capable of dividing the mass only into 2 fractions. Usually, they isolate one specific type of impurity.
There are complex machines. With their help, division into more fractions than in the first case is possible. They may be standalone machines or combinations of several. In the latter case, the working process is based on the transfer of grain from one device to another.
Machines may be sieve-type. Their mechanism involves separating impurities through special sieves. It is possible to use various types of impurities. There are also air machines, whose operation is ensured by lifting certain types of impurities with air and then discharging them through a pipe.
Triers are capable of separating grains by length due to their design. They include special cylinders and many cells.
It is extremely important that machines are of high reliability. This fact ensures the quality of the process. JK Machinery guarantees this. Each buyer will appreciate Czech equipment quality.
