Modern construction — this is the implementation and use of the latest technologies and developments in all its areas, including the roofing materials industry. Among products designed for roofing, awnings, and canopies, cellular polycarbonate is gaining popularity, representing a complex combination of polyester and carbonic acid. High demand for this material is due to the fact that it is the most suitable replacement for quartz and acrylic glass, PVC panels, and similar substances.

Due to its chemical formula, a polycarbonate product possesses strength, flexibility, fire resistance, and light transparency, has a low specific weight, and can be used over a wide temperature range. Proper installation achieves relatively high thermal insulation properties.

Structure of polycarbonate sheets

Due to its structure, this material is called cellular, as it has a hollow construction created by two layers — upper and lower — connected by partitions, which ensures the rigidity of the entire structure. The distance between ribs can range from 6 to 25 mm. This is taken into account based on the sheet size. The most common and popular type is 16 mm polycarbonate, produced by the company "Carboplast". All products manufactured by the factory have necessary quality certificates and sanitary-epidemiological conclusions. Polycarbonate from the company "Carboplast" — this is quality control at all production stages, combination of innovative technologies and excellent operational characteristics.

Color of the material and methods of its protection

The industry produces both transparent cellular polycarbonate sheets and sheets with added pigments of various colors. Since this material is not resistant to ultraviolet radiation, for additional protection, a special film is applied to its surface, which ensures a long service life of up to 20-25 years.

Areas of application

The flexibility of the product and its various color options significantly expand its field of application. Polycarbonate is suitable for creating beautiful arches, awning structures, canopies, and fences. Its thermal insulation and light-transmitting properties allow using this material for constructing greenhouses, verandas, and winter gardens.
