Barrelier's Yarrow

Barrelier's Yarrow (Achillea barrelieri) is a compact perennial herb belonging to the Asteraceae family. This species is highly valued in horticulture for its ornamental silver foliage and tight, attractive flower clusters, making it a perfect candidate for rock gardens, xeriscapes, and border edgings.

Originating from the mountainous regions of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, the plant has evolved to thrive in rocky, calcareous soils. Its natural habitat dictates its physiological needs, resulting in a plant that is remarkably drought-tolerant and capable of surviving in harsh, nutrient-poor conditions where other perennials might struggle.
