Cultivation requires fertile, well-draining soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. It is best suited for partial shade, as intense direct sunlight can scorch the foliage. Proper maintenance includes consistent irrigation, as the plant does not tolerate prolonged drought, and occasional mulching to keep the roots cool during the heat of summer.

The primary use of Aconitum nasutum is ornamental. It is a striking choice for garden borders due to its height and late-season blooms. However, due to the presence of potent alkaloids (aconite poison), it is classified as a toxic plant.
