The native range of Albizia acle encompasses the Philippines and several parts of Indonesia. It thrives in humid tropical forest environments at lower to medium altitudes. As a climate-demanding species, it requires consistently warm temperatures and cannot survive in frost-prone regions, limiting its cultivation to tropical and equatorial zones.
Botanically, Acle is characterized by its broad, spreading canopy and fine, feathery foliage typical of the Mimosa subfamily. The tree develops a dense and hard timber, which is why it is historically preferred for furniture making. Like many legumes, it forms symbiotic relationships with nitrogen-fixing bacteria, contributing to the fertility of the surrounding soil.
