The species is native to tropical Asia, ranging from India to northern Australia. Due to its adaptability, it has been introduced widely across Africa, the Caribbean, and Central America. The tree flourishes in tropical climates with distinct wet and dry seasons, demonstrating resilience to high temperatures and varying rainfall patterns.
