Botanically, the plant is a succulent with a rosette of fleshy leaves, often featuring unique color patterns or mottling. The leaves are structurally adapted to store moisture during extended periods of drought. The root system is moderately developed, allowing the plant to anchor effectively in rocky substrates with minimal organic nutrient layers.
