The coin-leaf manzanita (Arctostaphylos nummularia) is a distinctive low-growing, evergreen shrub that belongs to the Ericaceae family. Known for its slow growth rate and unique spreading habit, it serves as an excellent specimen for low-maintenance landscaping and rock gardens.

Native to the coastal regions of California, this plant has evolved to thrive in nutrient-poor, acidic soils found in coniferous forests and chaparral ecosystems.
