In cultivation, it serves as a robust ground cover that thrives in climatic zones where other typical agricultural crops might suffer from excessive moisture or lack of soil structure.

Heavy clay soils are unsuitable, as they promote root rot; instead, sandy or rocky substrates with neutral to slightly alkaline pH levels are preferred. Agronomic management is relatively straightforward but requires strict adherence to water management, as the plant is highly sensitive to waterlogging and humidity-related stress.

The primary use of this crop is ornamental, specifically in rock gardens, alpine displays, and gravel beds. It is rarely threatened by serious pests, though aphids may occasionally colonize the soft growth during the peak of the season. To ensure optimal health, it is essential to keep the surrounding area free of aggressive weeds, as Arenaria cinerea lacks the vigor to compete with larger, fast-growing herbaceous species.
