Marsh wormwood (lat. Artemisia palustris) is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Despite its common name, this plant is primarily found in open habitats, including sandy riverbanks and damp meadows, where it has evolved to thrive in specific moisture regimes that differ from typical arid wormwood environments.
The native range of this species spans across the temperate regions of Eurasia. It is particularly well-adapted to alluvial soils and regions where sandy substrates dominate.
