Goat's beard

Goat's beard (Latin: Aruncus dioicus or Aruncus sylvester) is a long-lived herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the Rosaceae family. Known for its impressive size, it can grow up to two meters tall, forming dense, shrub-like clumps. Its structure and foliage are highly valued in ornamental agriculture for their reliability and elegance.

The native habitat of the species extends across the temperate zones of Europe, Asia, and North America. It naturally thrives in moist, woodland areas, often found along stream banks or in shady ravines. Due to its evolutionary adaptation to shady and humid environments, it is an excellent choice for northern climates where winter hardiness is a priority.
