The plant is characterized by its resilient growth habit, pinnate leaves, and distinctive golden-yellow flowers that thrive in harsh, high-altitude environments.
The native distribution of Astragalus aureus spans across the arid and semi-arid mountainous regions of Western and Central Asia, particularly in Turkey and parts of the Caucasus.
