Groundsel bush (Baccharis halimifolia L.) is a versatile perennial shrub belonging to the Asteraceae family. Known for its remarkable resilience, this plant has gained attention for its ability to thrive in harsh coastal environments where most other ornamental species fail to survive.

Originating from the southeastern United States and the Gulf Coast, the plant has a wide natural range.
