St. Thomas tree

Bauhinia tomentosa, commonly known as the St. Thomas tree or yellow bell orchid, is a perennial shrub or small tree belonging to the Fabaceae family. It is widely recognized for its distinctive yellow, bell-shaped flowers with a dark purple or maroon blotch at the base of the petals, which bloom throughout the majority of the year.
