Sudangrass

Sudangrass (Sorghum bicolor subsp. bicolor) is a highly productive annual grass belonging to the Poaceae family. Renowned for its rapid growth and nutritional value, it is widely used as a critical forage source for livestock across warm-season climates globally.

Originating from the Sudan region in Africa, this crop has become a staple in agricultural systems throughout the Americas, Australia, and Southern Europe. Botanically, Sudangrass features a vigorous fibrous root system that provides excellent drought tolerance.
