Bursera graveolens, commonly known as Palo Santo or the Holy Wood, is a significant species within the Burseraceae family. It is a highly valued tropical tree, recognized globally for the aromatic resins concentrated in its wood, which have been used for centuries in traditional practices and modern aromatherapy industries.

The native range of this species extends through the tropical dry forests of the Americas, spanning from Mexico to Peru and the Galapagos Islands.
