Balearic boxwood

Balearic boxwood (Latin: Buxus balearica) is a distinctive evergreen shrub or small tree belonging to the Buxaceae family. It is distinguished from other boxwood species by its significantly larger, lustrous, dark green leaves. This plant is highly valued in horticulture for its structural beauty and ability to maintain a dense, lush appearance throughout the entire year.

The plant originates from the western Mediterranean region, specifically the Balearic Islands, Sardinia, and parts of Spain.
