Botanically, the plant features long, branching stems and characteristic finely dissected, submersed leaves. Under favorable conditions, Cabomba aquatica can produce floating leaves and delicate white or pale yellow flowers. The growth rate is relatively fast, allowing for frequent harvesting through stem cuttings, which is the standard method of propagation in large-scale operations.
