Camellia luongii

Camellia luongii (Camellia luongii Ninh & Le.) is a rare species of evergreen shrub or small tree belonging to the Theaceae family. This plant is an endemic species and represents a unique subject of botanical interest, distinguished by specific morphological characteristics of its flowers and foliage.

The historical distribution range of Camellia luongii is located in the mountainous regions of Vietnam. This species prefers humid tropical and subtropical forest ecosystems, where specific microclimatic conditions have formed, characterized by high atmospheric humidity, moderate temperatures, and protection from direct sunlight under the forest canopy.
