Herzegovina bellflower

The Herzegovina bellflower (Campanula hercegovina) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Campanulaceae family. It is highly valued in horticulture for its neat, mound-forming habit and delicate, bell-shaped flowers that bloom profusely throughout the summer season.

The species originates from the mountainous regions of the Balkan Peninsula, specifically Herzegovina. Naturally adapted to high-altitude environments, it thrives in rocky crevices and shallow, nutrient-poor soils, making it an excellent candidate for specialized rock gardens and troughs.
