Giant scabious (Cephalaria gigantea) is a tall perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Caprifoliaceae (honeysuckle) family. Widely recognized for its striking height and pale yellow blossoms, it is a significant species in horticultural and agricultural settings, particularly favored as a high-yield nectar source for honeybees.

The plant originates from the mountainous regions of the Caucasus and parts of Western Asia. Due to its natural habitat, it has evolved to be highly adaptable to various temperate climates, proving successful when cultivated in open fields or managed meadows where it can thrive without extensive human intervention.
