It is a small, sprawling succulent characterized by its distinctively segmented stems that resemble clusters of peanuts. The origin of this species is traced back to the Argentine province of Tucumán. Growing in mountainous rocky terrains, the plant has evolved to thrive in environments with excellent drainage and significant temperature fluctuations.
