Saline goosefoot

Saline goosefoot (lat. Chenopodium salinum) is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Amaranthaceae family. It is a recognized halophyte, biologically adapted to survive and thrive in high-salinity soil environments that are typically toxic to most standard agricultural crops.

The plant is native to temperate regions across Eurasia and North America. It is commonly found in salt marshes, alkaline flats, and areas adjacent to salt lakes.
