The Chinese Tallow Tree (Sapium sebiferum), often classified as Triadica sebifera, is a deciduous tree belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family. This species is widely recognized for its agricultural potential, particularly for the fatty substances found in its fruits, which have been harvested for centuries.

Native to East Asia, specifically China and Japan, the tree has become naturalized in various subtropical regions worldwide.
