It is a highly specialized species adapted to extreme environmental conditions, primarily recognized for its role in stabilizing sandy soils and colonizing challenging terrains where moisture is scarce.
The origin of this species is traced back to the arid and semi-arid regions of Central Asia and Siberia. Its natural distribution area includes deserts, semi-deserts, and high-altitude stony slopes. The plant's evolutionary history has enabled it to withstand significant temperature fluctuations, intense sunlight, and low-nutrient substrates, which are characteristic of its native habitat.
