White prairie clover (Dalea candida) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. Native to the North American prairies, this drought-tolerant crop has gained attention in sustainable agriculture for its nitrogen-fixing capabilities and its role as a high-quality forage plant for livestock management in semi-arid regions.

The plant features upright stems typically reaching 30 to 80 centimeters in height. Its foliage consists of pinnately compound leaves with narrow, smooth leaflets. A defining botanical characteristic is its deep taproot system, which provides exceptional resilience during prolonged dry spells, making it an excellent candidate for landscape restoration and pasture improvement.

During its blooming period in mid-summer, the plant produces cylindrical, spike-like inflorescences densely packed with small white flowers.
