Green sprangletop (Disakisperma dubium) is a perennial grass species belonging to the Poaceae family. Formerly identified as Leptochloa dubia, this plant has been reclassified into the Disakisperma genus based on phylogenetic studies. It is widely recognized in agronomy for its high environmental plasticity and its ability to thrive in harsh, semi-arid conditions where common agricultural grasses often fail.

The plant originates from the southern United States and Mexico, where it naturally populates dry prairies, hillsides, and disturbed soils.
