The native range of this species extends across the tropical rainforests of West and Central Africa, including countries such as Cameroon, Nigeria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It thrives in lowland rainforest environments, favoring deep, fertile soils that provide sufficient moisture throughout the year.
