The plant originates from the arid regions of Eastern Siberia, Mongolia, and Northern China. Its natural habitat includes rocky slopes, mountain steppes, and dry meadows. Due to its evolutionary adaptation to continental climates, it exhibits exceptional winter hardiness and drought tolerance, which are key traits for its potential expansion into new cultivation areas.
