Haemanthus albiflos, commonly known as the White Paint Brush, is an evergreen bulbous plant belonging to the Amaryllidaceae family. The plant originates from the coastal regions of South Africa. It thrives in well-protected, shaded, or semi-shaded environments, often growing in rocky crevices. In agricultural and greenhouse practice, it is treated as a potted specimen, favored for its durability and adaptation to temperate climates within managed indoor environments.

Morphologically, the plant features a robust bulb that is often exposed at the soil surface. The leaves are broad, leathery, and frequently edged with fine hairs. The flowering stalk rises from the bulb, topped with a dense cluster of white flowers surrounded by stiff white bracts, giving the plant its common name and distinct visual appeal.

Agrotechnical management requires a well-draining, coarse-textured substrate to prevent moisture accumulation around the bulb neck, which is prone to rot. During the growing season, consistent moisture and filtered light are essential. Conversely, during the winter dormancy period, the plant requires a dry rest to ensure successful development and subsequent blooming.
