Narrow-leaved barberry (Berberis x stenophylla) is a striking evergreen or semi-evergreen ornamental shrub belonging to the Berberidaceae family. This hybrid, resulting from the cross between Berberis darwinii and Berberis empetrifolia, is highly prized for its arching branches and attractive foliage.

The plant originates from South American crosses, with its cultivation range now extending across various temperate regions worldwide. It is widely recognized in professional horticulture for its versatility as a hedging plant and its ability to withstand diverse environmental conditions in well-tended landscapes.
