Derived from cross-breeding wild species such as Hepatica nobilis and Hepatica transsilvanica, these hybrids have been specifically developed to exhibit larger flowers, a broader color spectrum, and more robust growth habits compared to their wild ancestors.
Botanically, these plants are defined by their low-growing rosettes of leathery, three-lobed leaves that are often evergreen in milder climates. The root system is a compact rhizome that slowly expands over time.
