Slender deutzia

Slender deutzia (Deutzia gracilis Siebold & Zucc.) is a graceful deciduous shrub belonging to the Hydrangeaceae family. Known for its slender, arching branches and prolific snow-white blooms, it is a staple in ornamental gardening for creating bright, elegant structural accents.

Native to the temperate regions of Japan, this species has been naturalized in various parts of the world with similar climatic conditions. It thrives in temperate zones, preferring locations that provide shelter from harsh, desiccating winter winds. While it enjoys full sun, it is tolerant of partial shade, especially in warmer climates where midday protection is beneficial.
