Laburnocytisus adamii, commonly known as Adam's laburnum, is a fascinating botanical phenomenon—a graft chimera resulting from the fusion of tissues between Laburnum anagyroides and Chamaecytisus purpureus. Belonging to the Fabaceae family, this plant is considered a botanical curiosity and is highly sought after by collectors for its unique ability to produce diverse blooms on a single specimen.
The plant originated in 1825 through the efforts of Jean-Louis Adam in Paris. As an artificial creation, it has no natural distribution area or wild population.
