Magnolia coco

Magnolia coco, commonly referred to as the coconut magnolia, is an evergreen shrub belonging to the Magnoliaceae family. This species is highly prized for its unique, ivory-colored blooms that emit a sweet, pervasive fragrance often likened to coconut, making it a popular choice for gardens and indoor collections.

Native to the subtropical regions of Southern China and Southeast Asia, this magnolia thrives in humid, shaded forest environments. Its cultivation range is largely restricted to warm-temperate and subtropical climates, where it can be grown outdoors year-round, or in sheltered containers in colder regions.

Botanically, the plant is characterized by its glossy, deep green, leathery leaves and flowers that never fully open, retaining a charming globular shape.
