The native distribution of this species spans the steppe and semi-arid regions of Eurasia, including parts of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. It is a highly resilient plant, classified as a xerophyte, well-adapted to environments with limited water availability and harsh continental climate conditions.
