Dudaim melon

The Dudaim melon (Cucumis melo L. subsp. melo var. dudaim) is an annual herbaceous vine belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family. Often referred to as the «queen Anne's pocket melon» or «scented melon,» this plant is primarily prized for the intense, fruity fragrance of its small fruits. It features sprawling, vining stems that can be trained onto trellises to create attractive, fragrant garden displays.

Originating from the regions of the Middle East and Central Asia, the Dudaim melon has been cultivated for centuries, historically valued for its scent rather than its culinary profile. Its natural range has expanded to various tropical and subtropical regions globally, where it adapts well to warm climates.
