The plant originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, specifically found in Thailand. It is essential to maintain high relative humidity levels, ideally above 70%. The irrigation must be precise; water should be soft and lukewarm, avoiding any stagnation at the rhizome, which can be fatal to the plant.

Growers should be vigilant against pests such as scale insects and spider mites, which can thrive if the environmental balance is disrupted.
