Broter's peony (Latin: Paeonia broteri) is a distinctive perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Paeoniaceae family. It is highly regarded for its early flowering period and refined aesthetic appeal, making it a prized addition to botanical collections and specialized landscaping projects globally.

The native distribution of this species is restricted to the Iberian Peninsula, primarily found in the Mediterranean regions of Spain and Portugal. It naturally thrives in understories of oak forests and on mountain slopes, which dictates its preference for specific environmental conditions characterized by temperate, moist winters and dry summers.

Botanically, this species is defined by its robust root system and upright stems reaching up to 70 centimeters in height.
