Armenian poppy (Latin: Papaver lateritium) is a distinctive perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Papaveraceae family. Unlike many annual poppy species, this plant is valued for its ability to persist over several years, forming a consistent rosette of foliage that produces elegant, warm-toned blooms.

The species originates from the mountainous regions of the Caucasus and northeastern Turkey. Its natural habitat, characterized by rocky slopes and specific light conditions, dictates its requirements for excellent soil drainage and exposure to direct sunlight.
