Forster's stonecrop (Petrosedum forsterianum) is a perennial succulent plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family. Previously included in the Sedum genus, this plant has been reclassified into the Petrosedum genus based on its distinct floral morphology and leaf characteristics, marking it as a unique species within the family.

The plant originates from Western and Central Europe, naturally thriving in rocky outcrops, dry grasslands, and sandy environments. Because of its native adaptation to harsh conditions, it has gained popularity in agricultural and landscaping sectors as an extremely low-maintenance, drought-tolerant species suitable for various climates.

Botanically, Forster's stonecrop is characterized by its succulent, evergreen, needle-like leaves that form dense, rosette-like clusters. The plant typically reaches a height of 10 to 30 centimeters.
