Pilgerodendron (lat. Pilgerodendron uviferum) is a distinct coniferous species belonging to the Cupressaceae family. As the southernmost conifer in the world, it holds a unique place in plant biology, representing a genus that has adapted specifically to the cool, wet ecosystems of South America.
The plant originates from the temperate rainforests of Chile and Argentina. Its natural habitat includes wetlands, bogs, and mountainous terrains.
