Crested bluegrass

Crested bluegrass (Poa jubata) is a perennial grass species belonging to the family Poaceae. This plant is well-regarded in agricultural science for its resilience and ability to thrive in challenging environments, making it a valuable candidate for forage production in specific climatic zones.

The native range of Poa jubata includes high-altitude regions of Central Asia, where it has adapted to cold climates, rocky substrates, and significant temperature fluctuations. Its evolutionary history in mountainous areas has resulted in a high level of stress tolerance, particularly concerning drought and frost resistance.
