Weyrich's rhododendron

Weyrich's rhododendron (Rhododendron weyrichii) is a deciduous shrub belonging to the Ericaceae family. This species is highly valued in horticulture for its spectacular display of flowers that bloom in early spring before the foliage appears, providing a dramatic visual impact in woodland gardens and shrub borders.

Native to the mountainous regions of Japan and the Korean Peninsula, this rhododendron thrives in cool, humid environments with well-drained, acidic forest soils.
