Cretan ricotia

Cretan ricotia (lat. Ricotia cretica) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family. While many members of this family are recognized as essential food crops, this particular species is highly valued in horticulture for its ornamental properties and its ability to thrive in challenging, rocky environments.

The plant is native to the Eastern Mediterranean region, with its primary habitat centered on the island of Crete.
