The plant originates from the tropical regions of East Africa, specifically Kenya and Tanzania. In its native habitat, it grows in rocky substrates and thin forest undergrowth, which has shaped its physiological adaptation to drought and nutrient-poor soils. Today, it is widely cultivated globally as an ornamental plant in nurseries and domestic collections.

Botanically, Sansevieria parva is distinguished by its dense clusters of narrow, lanceolate leaves that usually grow between 20 to 40 cm in length. The leaves exhibit a mottled green pattern with transverse dark bands. A notable characteristic of this species is its potential to produce inflorescences; when mature and provided with sufficient light, it produces spikes of small, fragrant white or pinkish flowers.

Agronomic requirements for successful cultivation focus on providing excellent drainage. A gritty, porous substrate is essential to prevent moisture accumulation near the roots. The plant prefers bright, indirect sunlight but remains highly resilient in lower light conditions.
