Japanese tallow tree

The Japanese tallow tree (Sapium japonicum) is a deciduous species belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family. Known for its aesthetic value and specific biological properties, it is categorized as both an ornamental plant and a traditional source of natural raw materials in Asian agriculture.

Native to the regions of East Asia, including Japan, Korea, and China, the tree naturally thrives in humid environments such as mountain valleys and forests.
