Agricultural management must prioritize maintaining adequate soil moisture while ensuring excellent drainage, as the roots are highly susceptible to rot if subjected to waterlogging in compacted, heavy clay soils.
Regarding health and protection, Solanum patens shares many of the same physiological vulnerabilities as other nightshades. Key threats include:
